Find Out How This Mom Lost The Baby Weight & Kept It Off

STOP THE PRESS!!! Words alone cannot describe how proud I am of this Beautiful, Smoking Hot Momma! Jordanna came to me looking looking to lose 10 lbs primarily in her belly and back area after the birth of her daughter. We started with “At Home” workouts but quickly transitioned her to the gym for weight lifting to truly shape her physique. Our biggest obstacle together was emotional eating situations so we worked very closely together rebuilding her relationship with food and also herself. What can I say about the gorgeous Celine who came to me dreading shopping and a goal of covering up her body every time she went out. And… I cannot have any of my STRONG GIRLS feel like that so we put together a strategy to get that weight off using plenty of food, creating dietary structure, lots of food variety, and resistance training to shape her body…and shape it we have! One of my favourite client progress pictures courtesy of the beautiful Melanie G. who’s awesome progress was the result of simply creating dieting structure while also enjoying plenty of food flexibility (fun on the weekends and holidays) and consistently pushing herself at the gym. It’s amazing when an image can be so powerful that there is no reason to provide explanation which is clearly the case here with ‪#‎StrongMommy‬ Tiz P’s mind-blowing progress. I’m beyond proud of what she has accomplished to date (50 lbs lost is an obvious reason) but it is the change in her lifestyle that is the real highlight! She’s cognizant of what she eats, enjoys plenty of food flexibility, her fitness goals are a priority in her life, and she is in tune with her body – can’t ask for more than that. STRONG LIKE MOMMY Biweekly Progress – Jovana G.

I’ve been a little behind showcasing my STRONG GIRLS client progress but thought I would start off with an insane one so I’ll just say this – Crazy. That’s the word that echoes in my head when I see Jovana Golubovic’s progress…and this is just from the back! My client Jovana came to me a few months ago looking to lean out and, as a former competitive athlete in Basketball, frequently engaged in lengthy Bootcamp classes, some occasional CrossFit, and way too much cardio for my liking so we scaled all of that back and focused on exercise that was more inline with her goals by lowering volume, focusing on mobility and intensity as we created a reasonable caloric deficit through her diet which included plenty of food flexibility. Because of her competitive sports history in the past, Jovana also had a number of injuries including a torn rotator cuff, a torn meniscus, and some older ligament tears in her ankles so this was no easy task to navigate through. TEAM STRONG GIRLS Transformation

After 9 weeks of vacationing in Canada, STRONG MOMMY Carey H. (who lost an incredible 61 lbs!!!) sent an email as soon as she got back home to Australia to share with me some exciting news. Carey says, “Hi Jenny, I just had to share this with you – so I just got back from our 9 weeks holiday in Canada. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh exactly the same as the day I left for vacation! Jovana G. also reminds us that Bikini Season is upon us as she is looking smoking hot after shredding 50 lbs (!!!) along with 10 inches around her waist, 6 inches around her hips, and 12 inches around her thighs. This STRONG MOMMY says, “Jenny I feel wonderful and I keep getting compliments everywhere I go! My clothes fit great, I bought a new bikini and can’t wait to rock it on the beach in Florida (as shown in the photo)! I am also happy because I feel like I inspired others to start the program and get healthier. As a parent it’s so easy to forget to take care of yourself so I’m very happy I finally did! I just love this picture. Love, love, love it. I don’t even need to provide much detail because the images truly describe my client Manja H’s transformation who came to me soon after the birth of her 2nd child and WOWZERS does she ever give new meaning to the title #StrongMommy By eating more food and simply kicking butt in the gym, she is down 27 lbs along with shredding 8 inches around her waist, 5 inches around her hips, and 4 inches around her thighs with more strength, energy, and a hot new body for the summer. 6 weeks Postpartum Accountability Check!

I’m 6 weeks postpartum and I finally have the ‘green light’ to lift heavier and increase metabolic and core stability training, the gloves are off and I’m picking up the intensity. Since I am breastfeeding I’ll be eating healthy (as per usual) but eating what I want and when I want without counting calories. As part of my lifestyle ritual, I have a good idea of how much I need to eat with measurements of protein and carb sources along with keeping up dietary fat intake. One of the amazing things about breastfeeding is that you can burn up to 500 calories a day so my extra ice cream and cookie splurges balance out the energy deficit it creates (umm…bonus!). I’m going to increase the volume of exercise along with intensity levels but will keep my sessions at no longer than 45 minutes (free time is of the utmost importance when you’re a new Mommy). I’ll forego the typical cardio based work and save it for walks in the fresh air with my boy…and most importantly enjoy being a Mommy …

TEAM STRONG GIRLS Success Story – Carey H.

I’m so proud to be a part of Carey H’s fitness journey. She came to me looking to loose weight after the birth of her 2nd baby and she has achieved so much more than that. Carey came to me very active but only relying on cardiovascular based exercise and she was disheartened because the weight kept creeping upwards so we put together a strategy that had us focusing more on resistance training (beginning with “at home” workouts and eventually transitioning to the gym) for the purpose of strength and shaping her muscles along with a diet that was calculated for her and her goals. We certainly didn’t restrict foods as my main focus was strengthening her metabolism because once we established this, then everything else would fall into place. This STRONG MOMMY was tightening up, enjoying plenty of food and food options, getting stronger, having more energy/vibrancy, loving life, and embracing fitness as a lifestyle.
