What does a “successful” transformation mean?

The decision to embark on a fitness transformation should never be about becoming someone better than you are. Fat loss doesn’t do that and it isn’t about that. When I work with a client for a few months and as their bodies start to change, another transformation happens too. Even though it’s only email I can almost hear their voices by the way they communicate with me – their exuberance, the confidence, the loss of previous inhibitions, and the sheer excitement of seeing what they have overcome…followed occasionally by even bigger goal settings (I just love when that happens by the way…). While it is very hard to accurately explain , the best way I can describe it is through the slow increase and frequency of emails and messages that come my way as the weeks go on and the pounds and inches reduce. Stop Giving Up!

Too often I hear (from the same individuals no less), “I need to start working out again”. These individuals workout (or diet) for 1 week, then stop for lengthy periods of time only to repeat the cycle over and over again with absolutely zero progress. To achieve any real progress on a fitness plan (be it weight loss or muscle gain), you must stay consistent with your program. Stop giving up!
