TEAM STRONG GIRLS Success Story – Lana K.

I am so proud of the Lana K’s fitness journey who came to me last year looking to lean out and tighten up. She had already lost an incredible 60 lbs on her own through cardio and conditioning classes (wowee!!!) but, as all things go with too much cardio, her progress eventually came to a halt. Unfortunately Lana tried to continue through by doing even more cardio and conditioning only to find herself spinning her wheels with a lack of progress, finding herself more tired than usual, and (gasp) finding herself even putting on weight. Lana then found herself trying a number of different diet strategies (even at one time going Vegetarian) to no avail…even causing more weight gain. When we started working together I limited the amount of cardio she was doing (by a lot), increased her food intake (by a lot), and had her focus more on Weight Training for the purpose of increasing lean muscle rather than waste it away with cardiovascular activity. TEAM STRONG GIRLS Success Story – Lana K.

A sneak peak of Lana K’s journey to weight loss accomplishment all the way up to her debut on the stage in Figure category where she placed 2nd in her very first show!!! This STRONG GIRL also participated in the IDFA Transformation challenge and I couldn’t help but tear when they read her story to the audience. Lana says, “Until this year I had been uncomfortable in my own skin. As an overweight child I lacked confidence, insecurity, had feelings of inadequacy, and extremely low self-esteem which led to social withdrawal. I turned to food to fill the void. Over the years, I also tried many different yo-yo diets. While I had some successes, I remained overweight and struggled with an unhealthy relationship with food. At my University graduation I was more than 220lbs. I couldn’t stand to look at myself anymore and returned to the gym. TEAM STRONG GIRLS Success Story – Nicole B.

More than 1 year ago, Nicole B. came to me looking to lean out and maintain the muscle mass that she built up through her intense CrossFit training. In about 4 months this STRONG GIRL was posting new PRs, increased energy, leaned out immensely, and loved every single second of it! I love working with clients like Nicole because she is an absolute terror with the weights and I have often referred to her as my resident Wonder Woman or She-Hulk because…simply put…she like to life heavy sh*t. With this kind of fire burning inside her, it was only natural that she wanted to pursue something that was itching in the back of her mind for quite some time – COMPETING! I just love hearing this.
