If there are certain foods (or drinks) that aren’t on your plan and may cause you to fall off track from your program, it is best not to have these items in your home. If you have it in your house, you will eat it or drink it at some point.
Easily the top culprits I hear about continuously are cookies, cake, candy, chips, ice cream, pizza wine, and beer.
If these trigger foods are in your home my advice is to get rid of it – You can’t eat it if it’s not there. It does more harm to your program and to your goals if it is within reach. Value your commitment to yourself and make the process as easy as possible. Dieting itself is hard. Having temptation at arms length is just torture.
